New iPhone and iPad Game Allows Players to Smuggle Illegal Aliens
Why not just change the name to "Smuggle Truck: Undocumented Workers" ... and make everyone happy, guys?
BOSTON (AP) — A game developed by a Boston-based tech company that allows users to drive a truck full of immigrants through the desert and try not to have them tossed out is drawing fire from some immigrant advocates. “Smuggle Truck: Operation Immigration,” a proposed iPhone and iPad app by Owlchemy Labs targeted for released in March, lets players navigate through what appears to be the U.S-Mexican border. As the truck drives over cliffs, mountains and dead animal, immigrants fall off the truck’s bed. Scores are calculated by the number of immigrants helped crossing the U.S. border.

Developer Alex Schwartz said the idea for the satirical game came out frustration friends faced while trying to immigrate to the U.S. Schwartz said the message that developers what to send out through the game — it’s so tough to legally emigrate to the U.S. that it’s almost easier to smuggle yourself over the border despite the dangers.
But Eva Millona, executive director of the Massachusetts Immigrants & Refugee Advocacy Coalition, said the game is in poor taste and trivializes the seriousness of immigrants willing to risk their lives under a broken immigration system. “Last year 170 human beings died crossing the border,” Millona said in statement. “It’s disgraceful that anyone would try to make money out of this tragedy by making light of it in a game.”

Despite being a unique game in many ways, this Super Bowl was no different, as the Black-Eyed Peas’ Will.I.Am took poetic license to demand of the President to “get these kids educated!” in the middle of “Where is the Love?”
The interjection came in the middle of Will.I.Am’s section of the song, where, instead of the usual line, he cried out, “Obama, let’s get these kids educated!”
And Will.I.Am is no stranger to politics, nor to President Obama, having contributed the vastly-watched “Yes We Can” music video in 2008 and made history as CNN’s first hologram. Yet one must wonder how many people watching the Super Bowl really want to be reminded of politics, of all things, and how appropriate such political statements are in a venue meant to unite Americans and allow them at least a few hours vacation from the nation’s vicious political news cycle.

KFC China smashes "Obama" with a giant sandwich....?
What the huh?
via the Blaze Is KFC threatening Barack Obama with a giant chicken sandwich? I don’t know, but I can say that around the time Chinese President Hu Jintao visited America a few weeks ago, KFC ran a commercial in Hong Kong using an Obama look-a-like (and the “change” phrase) to sell a new chicken sandwich. And it features that look-a-like getting pummeled by said sandwich:
According to KFC parent-company spokesman, the commercial is just supposed to be a commercial, and there’s no hidden message.
“It was meant to be a spoof and no disrespect was intended,” a spokesman for Yum! Brands, which operates KFC said in a statement. “It is no longer airing and will not be re-aired”
According to the New York Daily News, KFC is one of the most popular food chains in China.
But the oddest part may be the company‘s decision to use Obama to hock fast food despite Michelle Obama’s anti-junk-food position. I guess that viewpoint got “lost in translation.”

Generals, waiters..., what's the diff?
According to our tipster, Valerie Jarrett was seated at the head table along with several other big-name politicians and a handful of high-ranking military officials. As an officer sporting several stars walked past Jarrett, she signaled for his attention and said, “I’d like another glass of wine.”
Garçon!
White House economic adviser Austan Goolsbee, who was seated next to Jarret, began “cracking up nervously,” our tipster said, but no one pointed out to Jarrett that the man sporting a chestful of medals was not her waiter.
“The guy dutifully went up and got her a glass of wine, and then came back and gave it to her and took a seat at the table,” our tipster said. “Everyone is in tuxedos and gowns at this thing, but the military people are in full dress uniform. “There was no shortage of waiters either.” Read more
